Due to unforeseen consequences resulting from legislative drafting errors, two confusing and somewhat contradictory versions of A.R.S. §32-122 (regarding obtaining an in-training designation) now exist in the Board’s Practice Act. The two versions cannot be reconciled without additional legislative action or litigation in Court.
As of August 6, 2016, the Board only offers the in-training designations to engineers in-training, land surveyors in-training, and geologists in-training. If you have any questions about the process for obtaining an in-training designation, please contact the Board’s Licensing staff. Thank you for your consideration.
