Attention Alarm Businesses, Controlling Persons and Alarm Agents
The Arizona Board of Technical Registration will be moving from Fingerprint Cards to Clearance Cards effective August 9, 2017 for new applications and for renewals.
The Board will stop accepting new certification applications and renewal applications for the period of August 4, 2017 through August 9, 2017.
Applicants and certificate holders can begin submitting applications to DPS for clearance cards beginning August 9, 2017.
Renewal applications submitted after August 4, 2017 must have the clearance card documentation attached to be considered complete. Make certain that you give yourself time to obtain the clearance card before submitting your renewal as delinquent fees will not be waived.
New certification application forms will be posted on the Board’s website. Any old forms that are received by the Board will be returned to the applicant.
Fingerprint cards will not be accepted after August 4, 2017.
You can learn more about the clearance card application process by accessing the DPS website at www.azdps.gov. The phone number for the DPS Applicant Clearance Card Team is (602) 223-2279.
The Board will post instructions on its website by August 4, 2017. Please check the website frequently during the change in application processes.
