Engineer Applicants

 

  • Exams
    • To apply for Fundamentals Exam (FE) authorization, select Engineer Fundamentals Exam Authorization to download the application. Applicants must demonstrate at least 48 months of education and/or experience to qualify, or be in the final year of a degree program acceptable to the Board.
    • To apply for Fundamentals Exam (FE) waiver, select Engineer Fundamentals Exam Waiver to download the application. To qualify, applicants must demonstrate registration or licensure in the same profession in which registration is sought for at least 10 of the last 15 years OR hold a degree approved by the Board and 12 years of post-graduation work experience.  
    • To apply for Professional Exam (PE) authorization, select Engineer Professional Exam Authorization to download the application. Applicants must demonstrate at least 60 months of education and/or experience to qualify and verification of passed FE exam (or waiver of exam).
    • To apply for Professional Exam (PE) waiver, select Engineer Professional Exam Waiver to download the application. To qualify, applicants must demonstrate registration or licensure in the same profession in which registration is sought for at least 10 of the last 15 years.      
  • In-Training Designation
    • To apply for Engineer-in-Training Designation, select Engineer In-Training Designation to download the application. Applicants must provide verification of passed FE exam (or waiver of exam) and at least 48 months of education and/or experience to qualify.
  • Registration
    • To apply for Initial/Comity/Reciprocity Engineer registration in Arizona, select Engineer Registration Packet to download the application. Applicants must demonstrate passed FE and PE exams (or waiver of exams) and 96 months of education and/or experience to qualify. If you have an NCEES council record, request to have it transmitted to the Arizona Board. *Please note that the applicant’s PE exam should be the current national exam in the branch of engineering in which the applicant is applying, otherwise the applicant will first need to apply for the PE exam waiver*
    • To apply for Universal Licensure in Arizona, select the Professional Universal Licensure Application to download the application. Applicants must reside in Arizona and be licensed or certified in the same profession for at least one year, in good standing.
